Strangers from across eastern Maine with opposing beliefs have been connecting through One Small Step. Come eat popcorn and listen!

We're hosting an interactive event at the Alamo Theatre in Bucksport on November 15, 2023, at 6 p.m. to showcase our partnership with national organization StoryCorps through One Small Step. The event is free and open to the public. Come eat some popcorn, enjoy a beverage, bring a friend, meet a stranger!

During the event, audience members will have the opportunity to listen to audio from One Small Step conversations recorded earlier this year by WERU One Small Step facilitators Chris Battaglia and Michele Christle. The event will also include a panel of local One Small Step participants who will share their reflections on participating in the program. Attendees will be invited to try out One Small Step conversation questions with other audience members.
